Week 43

It is very insightful to see quotations from other agencies. Not so much for benchmarking but it helps understand the own weaknesses. It allows me see the offering through the customer eye. While my offerings are not better it reveals the gap between expectations and reality. Nobody is expecting the perfect almighty service provider. It is simply not possible. But it should be possible to figure out what the suppliers excels in. Where does she outperform most of the competition. A lot of service provider positions themselves as all round talent.  But we all  know that the reality looks different.  Even though I did not make much progress on the acquisition side I am feeling that my understanding of how to do offer a suitable / profitable service in improving.

Week 40

Last week was packed with meetings. The feedback at the end of the week was very clear. You need to pivot. In my accessible market and with my skills and possibilities there is no product market fit. Either change the target audience or change the product offering.  Saturday morning when I woke up is was very clear to me. Explore GEO! Based on what I have learned about customer, demand and deliverability this has high chances of becoming a product market fit. #2 would be LinkedIn Ads.  What else happened last week that is worth mentioning.  I joined the eye looking experiment on MeetUp by Mischa. I could suddenly u...

Week 39

A Weekend Reflection on Finding My Own Edge This past Sunday and Monday, I spent some time out in Chiba with a friend of mine, Ivo. We had plenty of conversations about work and AI, and what really struck me was his entrepreneurial spirit. He’s younger and he’s tackling business challenges with this incredible level of speed and confidence. It kind of made me reflect on where I stand. There’s this sense of needing to focus on my own competitive advantage—my own style—especially when I see how the younger generation is moving so quickly. We also kicked around some ideas about pivoting into areas like generative engine optimization or using end-to-end automation to streamline processes. It’s all interesting stuff, and I’m considering trying a few things in October while still sticking to my existing strategy. On Friday, I attended another event where I initially thought I’d join the community and support them. But after meeting the founder and the crowd, it didn’t feel like the righ...
